Puma Crossfox Nitro Elite Cross Country Running Spikes

Taking elite long-distance track spike technology and engineering it for the demands of cross country, Puma brings you the Crossfox Nitro Elite.

Ultraweave Upper

The upper of the Crossfox Nitro Elite has been created with Ultraweave a lightweight textile material that will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. The lightweight structure allows air to flow through it thanks to perforations in the fabric, these create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. The 360-degree, one-piece upper construction helps minimise irritations due to limited use of seams, this allows for barefoot usage keeping you comfortable no matter how you decide to wear them. The spikes have been reinforced in high-wear areas for the rigours of cross-country racing, thanks to PWRTAPE this also increases support for your foot. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot reducing in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.

Nitro Elite Foam Midsole

The midsole of the Crossfox Nitro Elite has been created using a layer of Puma's most elite foam. This is a nitrogen-infused Peba foam, that is a lightweight and springy foam providing you with high energy return and responsiveness. Infusing nitrogen into the foam Puma has been able to expand their midsoles, by doing so the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot whilst also providing maximum propulsion with each step, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward helping you to hit those PBs but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike the track, by doing so this reduces stress on the joints and the risk of injury. The midsole also features a full-length Pebax plate, the spoon-shaped plate provides exceptional energy return and torsional rigidity while offering optimal propulsion at toe-off. Finishing the midsole of the long-distance spikes is a lightweight Pebax sockliner, cemented to the strobel board for increased comfort as you run.

Six Spike Outsole

Completing the Crossfox Nitro Elite is a full-length plate, that is covered by a layer of PUMAGRIP rubber in the forefoot to increase grip when running. The plate's design uses six changeable spike pin receptacles strategically placed for all distance events. A heel pad with dimples improves grip, for multi-surface traction and helps resist the traumas of heel-strike to supply you with a reliable, fast and long-lasting racing spike.
