Designed for pushing your limits in the backcountry, the Khroma Ascendor Pants from Rab have been built to be protective whilst remaining breathable and offering a wide range of movement for strenuous ascents. These definitive ski mountaineering pants have been constructed using midweight, weather-resistant Matrix softshell to provide excellent stretch ideal for tackling kick turns on steep terrain. High articulation around the knees and a diamond gusset panel help to add mobility and a zipped thigh gives you control over ventilation. With a tough kick patch reinforcement around the lower leg, the Khroma Ascendor Softshell Pants are able to cope with scrapes from sharp ski edges or crampons. As well as this, a zipped ankle gusset allows you to widen the hem for your ski boots. Designed with simple ski touring and complex ascents in mind, the pants feature a regular cut and a high, elasticated waistband to provide a comfortable fit, even when wearing a harness. Further options for securing the fit come from detachable braces, hook-and-loop adjusters and belt loops. Multiple useful pockets with YKK zips provide secure storage for small essentials and critical seams have been taped to ensure added strength.
