GORE-TEX Upper

Constructed using a PU coated upper, the Salomon X Radiant GORE-TEX Walking Shoes keep water at bay so you can walk with confidence no matter the weather. The durable PU leather offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A mesh and textile lining encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst gusseted tongue sits comfortably against the skin and prevents debris from entering inside the shoe. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing the X Radiant Mid as it features a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. Finishing off the upper is the mudguard which is a protective material all around the base of the shoe to help reduce the build-up of mud.

EnergyCell Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. An Ortholite die-cut insole is extremely soft and comfortable and works to wick away moisture keeping the feet cool and dry at all times.

High Traction Contagrip Outsole

The Salomon X Radiant GORE-TEX features a Contagrip outsole, providing unique traction technology. With a mix of compound, lob geometry and density, it gives the boot brilliant grip and durability, regardless of the terrain underneath. Utilising different combinations of harder, softer and grippier Contagrip compounds, Salomon's adventure running outsole provides the perfect blend of grip and durability to cover a multitude of terrains.
