Salomon Alphacross GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

Breathable Mesh Upper

Constructed using a Mesh upper, the Alphacross Trail Running Shoes are extremely breathable and light, which will allow you to push yourself further and faster. The mesh that surrounds the upper allows cool air to circulate throughout its construction creating a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. The upper also uses a super durable ripstop fabrication which resists the risk of wear and tears to bring you a shoe perfect for any trails. Not only will the ripstop fabric reduce abrasion it will also allow the shoe to look newer for longer. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Energy Cell Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. An OrthoLite sockliner also exists underfoot to provide the foot with a cushioned and cooler environment, whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.

Contagrip TD Outsole

Tackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole is able to form a solid grip between shoe and terrain. Contagrip TD is built for maximum traction on varied terrain and is durable enough to withstand the toughest trails. Built with large lugs, the Alphacross delivers optimum grip to keep you grounded on tough terrain. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
