GORE-TEX Upper

Constructed using a suede leather upper, the Salomon Quest Prime GORE-TEX Women's Walking Boots keep water at bay so you can walk with confidence no matter the weather. The durable leather offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A mesh and textile lining encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst gusseted tongue sits comfortably against the skin and prevents debris from entering inside the shoe. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing the Quest Prime as it features a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks.

EnergyCell Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. In addition to this, between the outsole and the midsole, there is a low profile advanced chassis. This will maximise security, motion control and assist energy management, resulting in a high-performing stable and responsive ride. Within the shoe, there is an OrthoLite sockliner. This will provide the foot with a cushioned and cooler environment, whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.

Contagrip Outsole

Tackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole is able to form a solid grip between shoe and terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
