The Salomon Elixir GORE-TEX is a premium mid-cut hiker committed to long-distance wearability and soft, balanced cushioning that's both comfortable and tangible. Featuring a waterproof membrane for challenging conditions and padded zones in the collar and tongue for increased foot-hugging comfort.

Synthetic and Textile Upper

Constructed using a synthetic and textile upper, the Elixir allows cool air to circulate whilst enabling warm, uncomfortable air to escape to help regulate temperature so you remain comfy during long hikes. The materials used are also exceptionally durable and provide optimal protection from rocks and uneven surfaces. To ensure feet remain dry and protected during your long adventures, the boots utilise a GORE-TEX membrane. The GORE-TEX membrane is exceptionally waterproof, to prevent water from seeping through the fabrication, therefore preventing feet from becoming uncomfortable and wet. The boots utilise Salomon's SensiFit construction to provide you with a strong, precise foothold, meaning in-show slipping is prevented, and feet remain comfortable from the first step. The boots have a soft, padded tongue and collar, meaning the boots further provide your feet with a comfortable, plush, foot-hugging hold. This will also prevent irritation from being caused, whilst a traditional lace-up construction, further reduces slipping, and keeps feet secure in the boots.

Energy Foam Midsole

Providing you with premium levels of cushioning and working to keep feet comfortable on the hiking trails, the Elixir GORE-TEX utilise an Energy Foam midsole. This midsole section works to absorb shocks when taking intense strides, which in tandem helps to prevent injuries from occurring and provides additional spring to your step. The Reverse Camber sole geometry works to smooth out transitions between strides, whilst softening the flow. The rocker shape works to push you forward slightly, for a natural feel. Finally, the boots use an Active Chassis to provide you with guidance and lateral support on rocky or tricky terrain.

Contagrip Outsole

Ensuring long-lasting grip, the outsole has been constructed using Contagrip. The outsole utilises an all-surface rubber compound and a Reverse Camber lug pattern, for a confident grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The full rubber outsole provides premium traction on loose terrain ensuring a solid bond between you and the ground. The durable rubber used on the outsole of the boot is abrasion-resistant which will prevent any damage from occurring over a long period exposed to hard ground. The rubber compound offers a higher density of rubber in high-impact areas of the outsole where the most wear occurs throughout the miles, this helps reduce the wear and tear allowing you to run harder and for longer.
