3D Mesh Upper

Providing maximum breathability, the upper of the Sense Ride 5 has been reworked using a lightweight, flexible and durable 3D open mesh for a comfortable wearing experience. The breathable upper works to keep you feeling ventilated and comfortable no matter what. Air that builds up within that is warm will be able to escape out, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside the shoes. This will work constantly for effective ventilation. With lightweight flexibility, the upper allows you to move freely over the trail with superior comfort whilst remaining durable for added protection on uneven terrain. The updated upper offers an even more optimised and comfortable foothold. A padded tongue reduces the chance of rubbing caused by irritation and chafing to enhance comfort while heel pull-tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off. The shoes feature Salomon's SensiFit system which cradles the foot form the midsole to the lacing system, to ensure a secure, snug and customisable fit. Finishing the upper is a Quicklace system that helps to lock down the midfoot to prevent in-shoe slippage for a distraction-free run.

EnergyFoam Midsole

Lightweight and responsive, the midsole of the Sense Ride 5 is constructed with EnergyFoam, designed to deliver long-lasting cushioning and outstanding bouncy energy return. With highly durable Energy Foam in the midsole, the Sense Ride 5 has a softer feeling than the previous version, with just the right amount of cushioning and response. The midsole provides a cushioned feel which is responsive to your every step enabling a higher energy transfer; for reduced fatigue as you run. Finally, a Profeel Film features in the shoes to provide you with a smooth, stable transitions, as they act as a filter between you and the terrain.

All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole

Crafted with All-Terrain Contagrip, the outsole perfectly balances geometry with rubber to deliver confident running on a wide range of surfaces. The Contagrip provides outstanding traction on wet, dry, hard, and loose surfaces giving you stability whilst on the trail. The full rubber outsole provides premium traction on loose terrain ensuring a solid bond between you and the ground. The Contagrip outsole is built for the widest variety of surfaces; it ensures confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces whilst still offering long-term durability so you can go further for longer with complete confidence in your footwear. As well as this, the outsole also features multi-directional lugs which dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs can anchor the foot into wet and muddy ground, securing you into place whilst also forming a solid base to push off from.
