Saucony Xodus ISO 2 Women's Trail Running Shoes
The Xodus ISO 2 is Saucony's advanced trail offering, providing you with maximum protection for a rugged, aggressive ride that's still smooth and fluid.
Trail Specific ISOFIT Upper
The Saucony Xodus ISO 2 Trail features ISOFIT technology. ISOFIT is a stretchable mesh that adapts to the foot's size, shape, and movement to create an ultra-soft, sock-like feel. It also allows fresh air to permeate the interior construction keeping the foot cool and comfortable as you perform. The ISO composition wraps the foot from medial through to lateral, merging with the eyelet lacing system to provide a locked-in fit with ample support.
Working in unison with this feature, a Gussetted Tongue prevents debris from entering the shoe and the use of a Molded Toe Shell protects toes from impacts while out on the trail. The integrated RUNDRY Collar Lining secures the heel whilst simultaneously wicking moisture away from the skin for fast, drying relief. Additionally, an internal ComfortLite sockliner moulds to the contours of the wearer's heel and arch, reducing pressures in the forefoot and providing light support. Lastly on the upper composition, a rear Heel Support Frame cups and supports the Achilles heel throughout the gait cycle.
PWRGRID+/EVERUN Midsole
To create a truly unique feel and experience, Saucony has re-engineered their PowerGrid technology to produce PWRGRID+. By adding a Powerfoam material and integrating it with GRID technology, Saucony has engineered a system that effectively centres the foot, absorbs impact and distributes pressure. The PWRGRID+ platform is used to increase stack heights, helping to deliver over 20% more cushioning and 15% more resilience than the previous version, thereby increasing versatility and prolonging the longevity of the shoes capabilities. This, in turn, makes the Xodus ISO quite simply one of Saucony's most comfortable trail running shoes ever.
The re-engineered geometry and materials of the Xodus ISO 2 trail work with the wearer's stride to maintain a smooth and fluid transition for an unmatched running cycle. Binding the midfoot together and providing structural integrity, a floating support cage cradles the midfoot; this adapts to the foot's size, shape and movement, allowing the shoe to respond to the individual runner's gait throughout each stride. Working in concert with the re-engineered PWRGRID+ technology, an EVERUN midfoot Landing Zone compound also delivers shock attenuation and sets the foot for an efficient transition with guided alignment.
PWRTRAC Outsole
The outsole platform for the Xodus ISO trail 2 is formed from PWRTRAC engineering, a tacky rubber compound that offers significantly more traction than traditional rubber, shaped in a hexagonal pattern to adapt to a variety of terrain. The ground fighting grip helps for undulating terrain, promoting greater traction and control, whilst the aggressive nature of the lug design enables multi-directional movement and high traction on all trail surfaces.
