Saucony Type A8 Women's Running Shoes
The eighth edition of Saucony's most popular road racing shoes, the Type A8 Women's Running Shoes will help you push further and harder than ever before.
FLEXIFILM Upper
The material used on the upper part of the shoe is designed with racing in mind. The ultra-thin FLEXIFILM material, which is a technology developed by Saucony, coats the material on the upper, providing structure and support to the foot. This means that the shoe can have fewer layers resulting in it being lighter, whilst retaining the strength and structure required to assist the workload. Easy to tighten laces and a flat soft tongue mean that you can make it a strong fit whilst not being too restrictive.
EVA Midsole
Despite remaining a very light shoe, this doesn't mean that the midsole is compromised. The flexible midsole offers users cushioning and a boost with its' bouncy features. Shocks from bumps of gravel in the road are absorbed, whilst every step is given a boost in a spring-like way. Forces are distributed evenly by the flexibility of the sole, which helps retain energy on each step. A four millimetre heel to toe drop delivers a more natural ride. This means that you can allow your body and feet to benefit more from the hard work put in, and having to rely less on the shoes cushioning and stability features.
Durable Outsole
The striking and attractive outsole serves a crucial purpose when racing. Grip on the road is essential for being able to push hard to the next step. If the traction created wasn't strong enough, energy would be wasted, and the risk of injury would be increased. The strong rubber used creates a strong bond between shoe and floor, making it a solid base to push off. The rubber is also extremely durable, able to withstand abuse from rough surfaces. The multi-directional lugs are also flexible and able to change shape to grip into the surface better.
