FlexFilm Upper
To provide extremely lightweight support, Saucony has incorporated FlexFilm technology into the Koa TR's design. FlexFilm provides an exoskeletal support frame for unparalleled strength and comfort. FlexFilm is heat melded to the upper, which reduces the amount of stitching and creates a soft, almost seamless surface against the runner's foot. When the laces are tied, the FlexFilm overlays tighten to secure your foot in place and minimise any unwanted movement for an unbelievably stable run. A reinforced heel piece is also situated in the upper to provide protection and stability, as well as a lockdown fit while an oblique toe box allows for maximum splay at toe-off for added stability. Durable mesh offers additional protection and breathability to keep you cool, dry and comfortable.
EVERUN Topsole
New for the Koa TR is Saucony's EVERUN topsole cushioning. EVERUN cushioning is three times more durable than Saucony's standard cushioning, and it delivers a greater energy return to put a spring in your step whilst you run. The cushioning is placed closer to your foot for increased responsiveness and therefore provides a smoother transition through the gait cycle.
PWRTRAC Outsole
The PWRTRAC outsole offers an abundance of grip and traction to help maintain stability and control, especially on the difficult, unpredictable terrain. Having the additional grip and traction will enable you to run with confidence and repeatedly trust your shoe. Aggressive lugs have been strategically placed throughout the outsole to help improve mobility by providing a full, unrestricted range of motion in all directions. Furthermore, the lugs increase flexibility and comfort.
