Lightweight Upper

The Echelon 7 has an extremely lightweight upper which keeps the overall weight of the shoe down to a minimum. In addition, the fabric is extremely breathable, which allows warm air from within to escape and be replaced by cooler air. This will prevent any discomfort being caused through overheating when out working hard. As the feet begin to sweat, the vapour is also removed as the air is transferred out, and moisture is wicked away from the surface of the shoe, which will return the shoe back to the lightweight state that it was previously in. Visibility is increased on the shoe, as it has reflective elements on the heel. This will make night time running safer, as vehicles and other lights approaching you from behind will be able to spot you. Covering the toes, the material is thicker, which will protect the forefoot from any bumps and knocks. As well as this, the heel has thick walls that will hold the foot upright in a strong position. Up the foot laces and a soft padded tongue make finding a secure and comfortable fit easy to achieve.

EVERUN Midsole

Extreme cushioning and therefore extreme comfort is guaranteed thanks to the EVERUN midsole. Saucony's developed cushioning provides the shoe with long-term durable cushioning that is built to feel the same no matter how many miles you have clocked up in the shoe. Towards the bottom, the EVA is firm, which means that shocks are absorbed instantly and prevented from reaching the foot. Once absorbed, the energy is returned as rebound, meaning that you will gain an additional spring in your step. The further up you go, the EVA changes and is less densely packed. This means that it is more cushioned, and as a result, when downward force is applied foot it will gently cushion the foot. Extremely flexible, the sole is able to bend which will improve the smoothness of the ride, including assisting with takeoffs, landings and other transitions. The shoe uses an 8mm offset, resulting in an even distribution of energy between the heel and forefoot. This will mean the foot will stay in a more even and stable position. The insole that comes into direct contact with the foot is durable, smooth and soft, which will provide long lasting and anti-chafing comfort, and the shoe is also able to accomodate another insole.

Tri-Flex Outsole

Using a Tri-Flex Outsole, this makes the surface of the outsole able to stretch when steps are taken. This will ensure that energy is dispersed over a larger surface area. This will prevent damage being caused as there are no areas with excess pressure being applied to it. Multi-directional grooves and lugs will grip into the ground to provide a solid base to stabilise the foot, as well as assist with movements like takeoffs and changes of direction. The rubber is abrasion resistant, meaning that it is able to stand up to abuse from below.
