GORE-TEX Upper

Within the upper, and completely surrounding it out there is a breathable membrane provided by GORE-TEX. When exposed to moisture, the surface of the shoe will block the entry of the water, which will keep your feet feeling comfortable and dry. For breathability, the membrane will allow hot air from within the shoe to exit through the membrane, which will allow a constant flow of energy in and out of the shoe. This will further increase comfort as your feet will remain at a comfortable temperature. A reinforced toe rand is shaped around the forefoot to protect it from any shocks and impacts, absorbing it to prevent the full force going through your foot. In addition to this, the heel has a firm counter surrounding it, which will keep it held in a firm and upright position, maintaining foot health. The long lacing makes it easy to find a secure and comfortable fit, perfect for tightening to secure when climbing and relaxing slightly when on flatter ground. A padded tongue and ankle collar will reduce the risk of irritation by rubbing and chafing and it will also improve comfort within the shoe. In addition to this, the collar uses Autofit, a developed technology by Scarpa that ensures maximum adaptability and comfort of the upper, reducing the impact stress that rests on the Achilles and malleous area. Great performance and comfort is guaranteed on any terrain. For further flexibilty and movement, the shoe uses Flex Point. This will allow your ankles complete freedom of movement whilst maintaining support and confidence on all terrains. A smooth lining and a soft footbed will give you chafe-free comfort within the shoe.

Dual-Density Midsole

With a dual-density midsole the Moraine Plus will provide you with supreme comfort and protection. This is because the midsole has different characteristics. At the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely densely packed. This will mean that all shocks and heavy impacts are attenuated instantly and effectively, stopping the forces from reaching the sole of the foot. Additionally, the EVA is able to transfer this energy into rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Towards the top of the midsole, the EVA changes, as it is softer and less dense. This will mean that on every step you will feel a soft cushioned feel, making the first step of the day feel as comfortable as the last one. Underneath the heel, the shoe uses the Heel Tension System. This offers great stability and adaptability to the severe stress derived from steep routes. The particular design and the TPU material help the upper responsively, avoiding torsional twists and makes walking easier even on difficult and rough terrains

Vibram Dynatech 3 Outsole

Designed to give you uncompromised grip on any surfaces, the shoe uses a Vibram outsole to provide supreme grip and control. The rubber is able to form a solid connection with a wide range of different surfaces, which will give you solid grip and traction. Able to protect itself, the rubber is abrasion resistant, which will extend the life of the shoe, whilst maintaining its functionality. An aggressive lug design will further anchor the feet, especially on wet ground. This will increase your stability and control, giving you a solid base to push off from.
