Scarpa Guida City GORE-TEX Walking Boots
A retro design that is reminicient to the 60's and 70's, the Scarpa Guida City GORE-TEX Walking Boots combine classic design with modern technology. A GORE-TEX membrane will provide durable and waterproof breathability.
GORE-TEX Upper
The attractive and retro looking upper of the Guida City Boots have GORE-TEX technology that make the boots a modern classic. The GORE-TEX covers the whole of the top half of the shoe, acting as a barrier between the surface of the material of the boots and you feet. The membrane will block the entry of all moisture, keeping you feeling dry even in the dampest of conditions. Despite blocking the entry of moisture, the membrane will still allow a constant flow of air to enter and exit through it. This will mean that your feet will have a temperature regulation that will keep you feeling fresh and comfortable. The surface of the upper is also water-repellent, which will act as the first barrier to block out moisture entry. In addition to this, by removing surface moisture, this will keep you feeling lightweight and comfortable in all conditions. Firm overlays will keep the boot in a structurally secure shape, whilst thick material surrounds the toes and heel to keep them protected from any excessive bumps or knocks. The laces run all the way from the toes up to the ankle for a secure and uncompromised fit. The high rise ankle and tongue are both soft and will feel comfortable against the ankle. As well as this, they will both block out the entry of dirt and debris to keep you distraction free.
EVA Midsole
The EVA found in the midsole is multi-beneficial. It provides users with supreme protection, cushioning and lightweight durability. The bottom layer of the midsole absorbs shocks efficiently and effectively. This can be from heavy impacts when walking downhill, or from small sharp objects pressing against the sole. Towards the top, the EVA has more cushioning properties, making every step feel comfortable. The midsole has structured ribs which provide a more supportive and progressive flex, which will help spring you in every step whilst not causing you or the boot damage.
Vibram Outsole
Using a Vibram outsole, the highly technical feature increases grip and traction. Known and trusted worldwide as producing premium mountaineering equipment and outsoles, the extremely durable rubber outsole is the perfect companion on a mountainside. It is able to form a solid bond in the most volatile of terrains, improving your safety and reducing the chance of sustaining an injury. The outsole also has deep lugs. These can dig into wet and uncertain surfaces, improving stability and forming a solid base for you to push on from.
