Scarpa Vortex XCR Women's GORE-TEX Trail Walking Shoes
A shoe that is ideal for hiking, day-long walking trips on mixed terrain and walks along paths. Ideal for those who prefer a little more freedom at the ankle. The GORE-TEX upper provides durable waterproofing.
Suede uppers will encase each foot in durable comfort. A rubber toe and heel rand reinforce the shoe's trail-worthy state; protecting you against kicked-up debris, roots, rocks and other general trail hazards. Under the layer of tough suede, lies the shoe's defence against water. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Thanks to its non-insulated construction, the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort technology is the ideal solution for people who value outstanding climate comfort and heat release.
Using nylon for its permanent performance qualities, the comfort flex midsole is moulded so it has minimum flex in the heel section but gives comfortable flex in the forefoot area. This makes it perfect for tackling those tricky ascents and daring descents because you get a helpful combination of torsional stability and flexibility.
The tried and tested Vibram Dynatech 2 outsole keeps you firmly planted on any terrain with enough shock protection to hammer long distances. The exclusive sole design from Vibram is moulded in legendary Megabyte formula; multi-directional lugs integrate with EVA midsole material to enhance shock absorption and reduce weight. It may be lightweight but the Vortex XCR has been hand built by Scarpa so, as usual, quality isn't sacrificed.
