Scarpa Drago XT Climbing Shoes
A retuned version of Scarpa's iconic Drago LV, the Drago XT has an updated last, heel design and twin-strap closure to provide you with a powerful, responsive climbing shoe.
Microfibre Upper
Protecting feet and keeping them comfortable when climbing, the Drago XT features a durable, soft microfibre upper. The upper provides you with next-to-skin comfort, enjoyable climbs and provides you with an irritation-free fit thanks to its unique design. Strategic perforations provide you with a cool, fresh in-shoe sensation to prevent overheating when under immense climbing pressure, alongside moisture-wicking technology to reduce the growth of sweat or moisture from forming around your feet to keep you dry. Similar to Scarpa's previous versions of climbing shoes, the Drago XT are super rigid with a wrap-around SRT structure (Surround Rubber Tension), which works with an extended high-performance M50 rubber that wraps across the forefoot and translates power directly to the tip of your toes. A Power Connection Band is also utilised to further transfer power from toe to heel, meaning extra power and sensitivity. With a narrower last, the climbing shoes offer a little more depth in the toe box and heel for a secure, comfortable fit, ensuring precision when climbing. Additionally, a FZR last means the shoes are highly downturned and asymmetrical for confident climbing and sensitivity underfoot so you can connect with the ground below. Finally, the uppers feature a twin-strap closure which provides a secure, locked-in fit, allowing you to make preferable changes and means you have stretch control, with the option to cinch down the midfoot. This makes it ideal for those who felt like they had extra room in the standard Scarpa shoes or LV models.
Suede Insole and Vibram XS Grip2 Outsole
Adding comfort and underfoot softness during climbing or bouldering sessions, the shoes feature a soft, suede insole, preventing distractions and keeping you focused on the climb ahead. The Integrated Heel Construction heel features an updated construction with a rubber compound, providing optimum sticky grip. This provides you with a unique combination of shape and tension to ensure a heel design to keep the foot secure and prevent constructional gaps with the rubber outer. Working with this, is a Vibram XS Grip2 outsole for outstanding grip and a firm structure, optimised for moderate edging and slope holds, whilst still ensuring maximum and consistent performance in a variety of temperatures. Vibram XS Grip2 is used by many bouldering world championship winners, keeping you confident that you can rely on these climbing shoes. It is a durable compound recommended for situations that demand maximum grip. The downturned design alongside the grippy rubber outsole ensures free foot placement to stimulate faster, more dynamic movement on rocks or plastic.
