GORE-TEX Upper
The extremely lightweight GORE-TEX mesh upper will keep your feet feeling ventilated and fresh whilst offering protection against treacherous trails. The GORE-TEX lining keeps the elements locked out preventing moisture molecules from entering into the shoe keeping you completely dry meaning nowhere is off limits no matter how muddy or wet. Although waterproof, the GORE-TEX lining is breathable allowing moisture vapour and sweat to escape the shoe without letting water in for maximum damp-free comfort. The mesh encourages cool air to circulate, regulating the internal temperature of the shoe whilst pushing out hot, muggy air for regulated temperature and a healthy environment feet can thrive in. Covering the toes, there is thicker material that will prevent injuries from occurring from bumps and knocks which you may receive on the trails. The internal heel counter will keep the heel in a firm and upright position, the walls of the rearfoot are strong, which will prevent it from rolling or twisting out of position. Up the foot laces and a form-fitting tongue will make it easy to achieve a comfortable and streamlined fit. The no-sew toe guard reduces the risk of irritation from rubbing and chafing within the shoe.
eRide Midsole
Providing you with a smooth and plush ride, the eRide combines protection, cushioning and energy return. Towards the bottom, EVA is extremely firm, which will instantly absorb any shocks from below. After heavy shocks and impacts, the energy is returned as rebound and bounceback, which will give you an added spring in your step. Aerofoam infinity offers the durability and rebound of previous foams but with increased plush cushioning that protects against treacherous trails and rocky roads for a comfortable ride. The body is kept protected from the rigours and fatigue of long trail runs without losing the efficiency of the eRide, working in tandem together for a smooth, energetic ride.
Versatile Traction Outsole
The Versatile Outsole has a configuration that will help you stay in control of every step for longer. The rubber used is extremely durable, which means that it will be able to retain all of its properties over a long course of time. The lugs are strategically positioned to give you outstanding traction and control over the different level of rocks, roots, and trails. As beneficial on dry ground as it is on deep mud or wet surfaces, the wet traction lugs are able to dig into the ground, assisting with takeoffs by securing your foot and providing a firm base to take off from. It will also dig into to ground as you start to brake, giving you full control at all times. In addition, there are strategically orientated chevrons placed all around the forefoot, which will provide extra stability and support over long hours and long distances of running.
