Air Mesh Upper

Designed to be lightweight, protective and breathable, the upper of the Salewa Dropline Trail Running Shoes has been constructed using an air mesh. The mesh upper works to provide lightweight breathability and protection to keep your feet safe on rocky terrains. Perforations in the fabric encourage cool air to circulate, removing uncomfortable heat build-up to create a healthy environment for your foot to thrive in. The shoe uses Salewa's 3F System to further improve the fit. This system will improve the flexibility of the upper, which also providing support and a blister-free fit, which will dramatically improve the experience of wearing the shoes, removing irritations and distractions that come with an uncomfortable fit. The wrapping EXA Shell and anti-rock heel cup supportively lock your foot in place and ensure torsional stability whilst the lacing system also exists to provide a supportive and secure fit; it locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. Completing the upper is a stretch gaiter which keeps rain and groundwater out and works to provide a irritation-free fit.

EVA Midsole

A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. As well as this, an Ortholite insole completes the midsole by providing added under foot comfort. The ortholite footbed wicks moisture away efficiently and effectively, as well as providing a comfortable and soft surface for the sole of the foot.

Pomoca outsole

Designed to provide traction and grip on uneven terrain, the Salewa Dropline GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes have been constructed using a pomoca outsole. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. This will mean that the definition and the functionality of the outsole will remain strong over a long period of time. Completing the outsole is an S-path design that promotes natural roll-off and more efficient heel-to-toe transition.
