The North Face Summit Series Himalayan Suit

Introducing The North Face's fully redesigned high-altitude Himalayan mountaineering suit. Designed for a range of alpine pursuits, it features high powered down insulation and a combination of quick-drying waterproof fabrication to keep you warm and dry in extreme conditions.

This mountaineering suit lives up to its namesake, it's ready to take on high altitude expeditions. It has been built with 900-fill ProDown which provides high-level warmth, retaining its loft and compressibility in wet conditions. It is water-resistant and RDS-certified for an ethical choice. The sophisticated Cloud Down construction helps reduce cold spots to keep you warm, dry and protected all the way to the top. Then there's the targeted use of stretch synthetic insulation and a breathable lining in the collar, inner front placket, back panel and inner thighs that helps regulate your temperature in key zonal areas. With a fine-tuned fit that balances warmth and mobility, you'll be able to move unrestricted - even during tricky, reachy climbs. The FUTURELIGHT with Spectra outer in the lower arms, seat and lower legs is both waterproof and abrasion resistant, protecting you from brushes with rock and pointy mountain tools. A DWR further keeps moisture off. The asymmetrical front-zip layout helps protect zips from oxygen-mask condensation and freezing, with a double-layer, asymmetrical front placket with two-way, reverse-coil zips and glove-compatible zip pulls. The attached, fully adjustable, helmet- and oxygen-mask-compatible hood offers extra coverage when you need it. Stretch-knit wrist gaiters with quick-drying FlashDry technology and thumb loops also increase the protection. A full rainbow drop seat with a down draft tube and multiple zip pulls allows for easy access and venting.

A built in vest offers further warmth, it is made with FlashDry materials that offer enhanced moisture management to help keep you comfortable. The self-equalising, internal vest-suspension system with two side-release buckle closures ensure a great fit, whilst also featuring two secure-zip pockets and two stretch-mesh pockets for carrying water bottles.

The rest of the suit offers a huge amount of storage too, including two large internal mesh drop-in pockets on the chest, two external mesh drop-in pockets on the thighs, two large secure-zip hand pockets (with a down draft tube and internal insulation) and a secure-zip pocket on the inner front placket. This keeps all of your gear easy to access and secure.
