As well as this, the jacket is also highly windproof meaning it works to block out cold winds so you can remain comfortable and warm at all times. The windproof nature of the fabric shields you from the elements so you can explore happy. A 2.5-layer bonded fabric with a durable, smooth outside works to provide protection on tough trails. The fabric provides lightweight abrasion resistance to keep your jacket looking newer for longer. Within the jacket, a duck down has been used to ensure long lasting warmth when temperatures drop. The down insulation works to trap escaping heat within its fibers so you can remain comfortable and warm when the mercury drops. Coldfear Reactor technology has also been used within the construction of the jacket. ColdGear Reactor is intelligent insulation that will adapt to your activity levels. When you are in the cold and not very active, the material will retain heat effectively to keep you feeling comfortable. As you become more active, the ColdGear will react to this by allowing a gentle flow of air in and out of the gilet, which will work over a prolonged period of time to keep you at a maintained temperature. To ensure added protection, the adjustable 3-piece hood provides added coverage when the weather takes a turn for the worst. The hood can be used to shield the face. The full zip allows for adjustable ventilation - zip to the top with the hood up to lock in the warmth or zip down to allow cool air to circulate.
